Hey Everybody!!
I hope you all had a happy and safe Christmas and New Year!! I'm sorry I haven't been around here in forever....It has been a rough holiday season for my family and I...
Over the past few weeks though, I have found a show, Burn Notice, to tide me over during the break from Hawaii Five 0 and my other usual primetime dramas. I have Netflix, so the first four seasons are available there, but does anydody know where I can watch season 5 in the future? I have 2 episodes left in seaosn 3, and I am really getting in to the show! Does anybody else watch it?

They've started running it in syndication on MyTV - two episodes on Wednesday nights, and since the holiday season is overrun with specials and reruns, I've been checking it out. Missed the 1st two, but watched the next few, and I like it too. I haven't been sure why, though, and I've been wondering about that. Do you have any ideas? It's not fantastic - although it has been a big success on cable - but it may have some things in common with H50, like a "getaway" setting, and good action, and witty banter. There's also the ever-wonderful Bruce Campbell. Our hero isn't especially good-looking or sexy, but he has things in common with Jim Caviezel on Person of Interest - you wish you were as cool as him, with over-the-top skills.
Oh, hey, nicnak, glad to see you! Sorry about the holiday, hope things are looking up...

oK, THanks, I like watching it in order though....I will have to hunt around for it...I don't really know why I have gotten into it, but I have....Who is your favorite character? I am watching 3.16 now on my ipad via netflix...I wish they had season 5 on there too...
As far as Person of Interest, I have only seen one and a half episodes, so I can't really say much about it

That's pretty cool, runner! Haven't seen that before.
As for a favorite character, nicnak, it would have to be Michael himself, because he's so clever.

Watched the pilot last night - thanks, runner. It was cool. Now I'm thinking that one of the main things I like is the narration. A lot of people don't like narration, but if it's witty and telling you something that's not on the screen, it can be fun. Moonlight was like that. You don't want it to say, "I did this and I did that", it's things like "The thing about being a CIA agent is..." It's also well put together and the supporting characters aren't cardboard cutouts. Especially his mom. I don't like her, but she's interesting.

You're right, Margarine, about the narration with Moonlight. I felt like I was getting extra insight into Mick that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise. It's a fun way to get more attached to a character because you feel like you know his deepest thoughts.

Scarla, I watched Burn Notice since the beginning and loved it. It's hard for me to catch all the new eps consistently but I rewatch the reruns on a local channel in Detroit. My fave character is Sam--- he's the " Huggy Bear" of the show. I love the interaction s between Mike & his chain smoking mom played by Sharon Gless of Cagney & Lacey fame. The voiceovers are hilarious during the mike and mom ones

Watching last night's episodes I realized I also like the art direction. It's the quirky freeze-frames and weird little maneuvers the camera makes. The whole thing is kinda like a cartoon. Fun to watch.

I have seen trailers for it and the lead guy seems really familiar. I will have to investigate.

I have seen trailers for it and the lead guy seems really familiar. I will have to investigate. I don't think I had seen him before, but whenever I saw promos for the movie "Changeling" I actually believed he was Milo Ventimiglia ("Heroes") or at least a brother that looked like him. When I checked and found he was somebody different it drove me crazy for a while. Now that I can see him every week he still looks like they ought to be brothers but he sure has his own charisma.
