twass, there you are! I've been thinking about you too, and hoping all was well. As it gets closer and closer to "that time" we'll be looking for good news.
dacascosfan, I agree with twassbrake, stay calm, think good thoughts. I saw a doc a couple of years ago that was so hot I could hardly answer his questions, so if you get a good one, pay attention to him.
Diana, it seems your puppy outsmarted his vet, good for him! Hope everybody else comes out as well.

Dacascos, I'm glad your following doc's advice and getting everything checked out. You're always in my thoughts and prayers, dear friend, we got your back. Hope that young handsome doctor is the one to perform it! TTYL

Just wanted to let everyone that we have one surgery down and now one to go. My mother's procedure went well and actually since the doctor had a couple of emergencies to deal with she actually wound up waiting (over an hour and half ) to go back for her procedure a lot long than the actual procedure took (15 min). Also, for those keeping track my step-dad's dad valve replacement has also been push back a week from April 12 to April 19 as apparently one of the doctor that need to present for the procedure is unavailable until that time.
The actual fun for me yesterday started once I got my mother home as we had a tornado actually touch down about 5 miles from my house. Thankfully this was more like the ones we typically get in my area which are small little baby tornadoes (EF-1) that spin up and touch down for a few hundred yards not doing a lot of damage and then lift up and dissipate, unlike the ones we got early this month that were EF-4's that traveled over hundreds of miles creating destruction all along the way. ( To give you a hint how bad the one early this month was several people in the Cincinnati actually found various documents (insurance cards, bills, wedding pictures) in their yards after the storms passed belonging to people who live outside of Louisville, that is over 150 miles, that were carried by the storms.) Usually the ones we get aren't that big of a deal unless they come down right on top of your house or in this case a barn and dog kennel (and just for the record all the animals were shook up but otherwise fine) and actually it was kind of weird last night in that at my house which was only five miles from where the tornado was creating havoc it was perfectly fine, no rain, no wind, just dark clouds off in the distance. Just goes to show how unpredictable mother nature can be when she is not happy.

Please keep Dacascosfan in your thoughts and prayers today as she undergoes a serious test on her heart. I hope it's nothing serious and I hope there's no complications either. Thinking about you DF, wish you all the best......

Well I don't have any blockage but I do have a weak heart and PAD in the right leg. Still very sore in the groin area and going to have a big ole bruise.

It's great to hear you came through the surgery well, and you're in pretty good spirits! Does this mean no running marathons this week? You take care of that body, you're going to need it for a trip to Hawaii.
