So, thanks to the folks at SpoilerTV, who have been so nice as to put together a nice spreadsheet of ratings, there is a pretty good comparison now, of exactly how H50 is comparing to other shows: www.spoilertv.com/2011/09/full-ratings-tables-most-watched-and.htmlNow those are the raw unadjisted numbers for the shows, not the finals, but there is little more than a 1% deviation from the final. Unforgettable isn't doing too badly in ratings numbers, and neither is Person of Interest. Though they are dropping numbers. Hawaii Five 0: 12.57 11.39 10.88 9.74 Unforgettable: 13.98 12.62 11.35 11.78 Person of Interest: 13.22 12.42 11.46 11.86 NCIS: 19.55 18.37 18.86 18.66 NCIS: Los Angeles 16.69 16.37 14.65 15.40

Not that this really relates to H50 but I would like to point out for Person of Interest, that they had a really crappy lead-in comedy (How to be a Gentleman) for the first 3 weeks that just about killed them. So much so that How to be a Gentleman has already been canceled and was replaced with a repeat of Big Bang this week which help the ratings for POI go up this week. And, then going forward Rules of Engagement will be the lead-in so hopefully they will get a better picture about POI after the change is made.

POI is still doing pretty well whole numbers wise, even with a crappy lead in, it still got higher viewers than Hawaii Five O.
Has anybody noticed that Unforgettable is being advertised as the 'best new show of the season' and 'highest rated new show of the season'
And Hawaii Five O is back onto the orphaned child version of advertising with 'Watch Hawaii Five O' every once and awhile.

I watched the entire CBS line up last Monday....just to see how many times they advertised H 5-0. Pretty pathetic..in the half hour right before H5-0 I saw 2 ads....come to think of it, it may have only been one.....Everything else was heavily advertised-especially for Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. They really are not pushing it at all this year. Maybe they thought Hoochie would do it all for them and they wouldn't have to advertise. But thank you for all the ratings info!

I watch the Tuesday night block, including Unforgettable, which...is a bit forgettable, but hey, there's nothing else...and in three hours of watching, Hawaii Five O came up twice, and it was a real short mention, not even the promos that we are seeing on the internet.

Ouch, Fringe just got moved into the 'likely to be cancelled' column over at Spoiler TV.
Kurtzman and Orci are not going to be happy campers. However, Fringe was pulling the same thing that Hawaii Five O did, except with a better actor. They took one of the leads, made him disappear, and brought in this goober replacement whose real purpose on the show is questionable.

Here is a link to zap2it - which has a listing of the top 20 shows this week in primetime. The reason I searched for this was because I'm watching the football game and they had a promo touting that they had most of the top shows in primetime, showing clips... and they didn't show 5-0. www.zap2it.com/zap-weekly-ratings,0,2436061.htmlstory

They are too busy promoting their newer shows and shows that have higher consistent ratings.

I only saw one promo the whole entire football game on CBS. Last week they showed the promo twice, and then the one where the cast just stands there and it says "watch hawaii five-0..blahblahblah" They really need to up the promos.

Just finished watching 60 Minutes, and saw 2-3 ads for tomorrow's H 5-0..... Major proof that the demographic doesn't matter much. 60 minutes demographic is the above 18-49 sect, and yet, football which is every demo, there was one.

What is a rating and a share? The terms rating and share are basic to the television industry. Both are expressed as percentages. Simply put, a rating tells how many people watched a particular TV program; it is the percent of households or persons within a universe (all TV households, or adults 18-49, for example) who are tuned to a particular program or daypart.
A share expresses this same number of viewers as a percent of only the households or persons actually watching television during the program or daypart. Thus, a share is a percent of a constantly changing number — the number of homes or number of persons in a given demographic using television at that time. Shares can be useful as a gauge of competitive standing. Source : Nielsen Media Research
