first message... please be kind I think that any week's ratings reflect a lot of how much the audience liked what they saw last week. If they didn't like it; they're not back . I think this week was finally awesome in every way possible and I'm hoping next week's ratings will reflect that. *crossing fingers and toes*

It seems that putting Lori into tight pants wasn't the crowd pleaser that Lenkov might have hoped for.

Here are the final numbers: CBS Hawaii Five-0 2.8 (18-49 Demo) 10.590 (Million Viewers) ABC Castle 2.3 (18-49 Demo) 10.850(Million Viewers) NBC Rock Center 0.9 (18-49 Demo) 3.640(Million Viewers) I have noticed a drop in ratings for Castle as well....

OK, I am asking for forgiveness right now because I do not know how this will be taken. I just can't shake this feeling, that now Alex has made public he is no longer single, that 18-49 demo will be effected. Ok, personally I am not as attached to this show and Alex like others are(just to let you know), but if a lead that looks like Alex(sexiness and all) goes public that he is no longer single, someone one who is in that 18-49 demo, no matter how they try to sell it now, that attractiveness to that individual/show is less, compared to when they thought he was single/not attached/and so on. Am I making any sense? OK I will get off my soapbox and stop rattling on.

Because they can't seriously be like DRAT, there goes my chance of true love, from now on I'll watch Castle instead. Right?

It wouldn't stop me watching as I have no real interest in the marital status of people I am never going to meet. Doesn't stop me watching Brad Pitt movies either . On the Who's Dated Who website, though, there were a few comments by people saying they wouldn't watch any more if he was really married/in a relationship/whatever. I guess it depends on why you're watching. There are many aspects of the show that I would place as more important than the eye candy - the ohana spirit, the bromance, Kono being a badass, the little humorous moments, the action etc etc. If I didn't like the rest of it, I wouldn't keep watching for the eye candy. In fact (don't lynch me) when I first started watching it, I didn't think any of the guys were all that. They kind of grew on me, but they weren't the reason I stuck with the show at the beginning. I'm not really sure what I'm trying to say... I don't know, I guess some people will turn off, but they would be fans of Alex rather than fans of the show, I would think. I'd be hopeful it wouldn't affect the ratings too much.

And it doesn't make him any less sexy!!! Just saying.

I remember being inconsolable when a certain pop star (who shall remain nameless) got married, and it was some time before I could bring myself to listen to his band again . I was twelve at the time, though, so a little out of the target demographic!

Am I making any sense? OK I will get off my soapbox and stop rattling on. You're completely and totally right. Just like when Tom Cruise married Katie, his popularity went down. Same with Justin Bieber (and the death threats went up to Selena Gomez). The demographic will take a hit, because that is how people are. Especially since one of Lenkov's selling points for this show is pretty much waving its 'single hot star' out there for the fantasies of the women out there. This is evidenced so recently as last month at HIFF, where Lenkov joked that he was going to give the ladies Alex's address in Hawaii. You all may say publicly that you don't care, but deep down, you do, and for others, they aren't being so public about it, but they definitely do. Note what happened in July when a rumor was spread around that Alex was playing house with Lauren German, that STILL is resounding to this day, even though it was an out and out non truth. There will most likely be another ratings hit on Dec. 5th. This has been a steady decline all along, and some circumstances are going to keep it up. This was the last episode of the sweeps season. The idea was for the ratings to go...up during sweeps?

Hi Darksea:
Question. Do you think that Lenkov thinks the show will not take a hit with all this coming out? If I am understanding you correctly.

Lenkov seems to think that his show is 10 feet tall and bulletproof. He doesn't even think it's taking a hit because of Lori.
