If ratings take a dive after 211 (in mid december, right?), what are the chances CBS will want changes to be made, and would they be able to implement them quickly? I'm assuming they won't be filming during Christmas, so they would begin January pretty well with episodes only filmed up to 214 at the most, right? How impressive were the numbers for November sweeps? They would have been expecting higher, no? I know ds said if it drops to 9 million, they'll begin to worry - well, we're not that far off now, are we?

211 is airing December 5th.
Filming should be coming to a halt pretty soon for the holiday break.
You never want to see a drop during sweeps, so they are already not doing that well. Changes can be made pretty fast, reminder: James MacArthur died at the end of October last year, they had an extended hiatus because he figured prominently in the 2nd half of the season's storylines.
If the ratings take a dive now, it won't be that surprising, many shows take it in the rear during the holiday season, which is why so many of them are now going on 'fall finales' or 'winter breaks'.

So we know that changes can be made. But the question is:will they be made?

Here are the updated ratings numbers for when 7 day DVR viewership is added in.
Hawaii Five-0 went from 10.592 million viewers to 14.351 for a gain of 3.759 million viewers or a gain of 35.5%. CASTLE went from 10.901 million viewers to 13.714 million viewers for a gain of 2.813 million viewers or a gain of 25.8%
As for the 18-49 demo Hawaii Five-0 went from a 2.8 to a 4.1 for a gain of 1.30 or 46.4%. CASTLE went from a 2.3 to a 3.2 for a gain of 0.90 or 39.1%
This means that more people are watching Castle live which means they are also watching the commercials versus H50 who are watching it on DVR and fast forwarding through the commercials. Now in H50 in favor it did wind up having more total viewers than Castle once the DVR viewers were added in. Also remember that this was the North Korea episode that brought Wo Fat back and killed Jenno off, so it was expected that this episode would be one of the higher rated episodes.
