CBS Hawaii Five-0 3.0 (18-49 Demo) 10.756 (Million Viewers) ABC Castle 2.0 (18-49 Demo) 8.046(Million Viewers) NBC Rock Center 0.9 (18-49 Demo) 3.423(Million Viewers)
For comparison purposes this is the ratings for two weeks ago (See below) which is the last time that both H50 and Castle had new shows. Which you can see that H50 did gain a little bit in the viewers (about 417,000) and demo (0.2), while Castle on the other hand lost a lot of demo (-0.7) and viewers (about 3.869 Million) this week. Which basically means that the vast majority (about 3.452 Million) of those who decided not to watch Castle, also decided not to watch H50 either meaning that H50 beat Castle not because H50 got dramatically better, but because Castle got dramatically worse.
CBS Hawaii Five-0 2.8 (18-49 Demo) 10.339 (Million Viewers) ABC Castle 2.7 (18-49 Demo) 11.915 (Million Viewers) NBC Rock Center 0.9 (18-49 Demo) 3.628(Million Viewers)

Was Castle new last night? Wow. H50's ratings aren't all that much better though.

It was new episode of Castle, but it lost it's DWTS lead in and now has a game show that only pulled 3.5 million viewers as it lead in , so it gained 4.546 million viewers from it's lead in, whereas H50 lost 1.983 million viewers from it's lead in of Mike and Molly. Now next weeks, Castle will be a repeat while H50 is a new episode.

That's a surprise too because Castle was supposed to be a huge draw. Castle and Beckett handcuffed to a bed together, woo woo. Guess some folks didn't want to see that after all.

Maybe those Castle viewers from last week that did not watch this week were over on FOX watching the Country Awards, or whatever it was they were broadcasting.
Since it appears (based on the numbers) that those Castle viewers certainly did not suddenly flock to H50 last night.

Margarine , I don't think that was the case at all (see my reply above). I think what happened was that most people turned ABC off during the 9 o'clock hour and never check back in. It will be very interesting to see what this episode's DVR numbers are in a few weeks when they come out.

I doubt it as Fox's primetime broadcasts are over by 10pm as they start showing the local news at that time.

hmm..so Castle lost it's lead in. Interesting to see whether the numbers will pick up. They lost it until March 15 when DWTS stars return and remember H50 isn't going to be having as many new episodes during this time period either as it will be dealing with March Madness on CBS. Remember last season, three weeks of repeats, one new episode and then three more weeks of repeats, well the same thing is going to happen this season.

I never watch FOX news so I didn't even think about it. In any case, those Castle viewers went somewhere (or maybe just away), but not over to H50.

You can pretty much bank on it as long as CBS has the contract for March Madness.

People must have been doing other stuff last night---the numbers seem to be down across the board..that is if I'm reading it right.....But then it is December- and there are lots of school programs and other stuff going on.
