darksea---didn't we know by this time last year that we had a full season (actually full season plus 2)? I know CBS must have their reasons for not coming out with the renewal news and it's driving me nuts too. Just reading on here about Lori possibly being on Ep 18 makes me wonder how many of us will peel off from viewing? When Darksea wrote about Castle's ratings it's worrisome because 50 is only in their 2nd season where Castle has 4 I think. Slipping under the 10 mil mark could tank this show eventually I guess.

Yeah, by this time last year, we knew that there had been a full season order, almost immediately after thanksgiving. They had already made an annoucement towards a full season order before November Sweeps started, because H50 had already had a pretty good ratings tow. Though Castle had gotten a slow start last year. And a full season is 24. 22 is an abbreviated season.

Thanks for clarifying a full season darksea......
BTW--does anyone know what episode are they currently shooting?

I think the unknown re: ratings is that we don't know what CBS's expectations are. I do not want to see the show in jeopardy - but I do want to see things get better and there is a relationship between ratings and a certain someone getting sent away. LOL - caught between a rock and a hard place!

Actually, we do have a pretty good idea what CBS's expectations are. They've been mentioned previously in other threads.

Mark Harmon was my fantasy when I was younger. He was that nice, hot, older man. Now, yeah, the fantasy age has come down.

Personally. if I was going to do a NCIS inspired older man fantasy, it would be Chris O'Donnell for me who is 41. And for a non-H50 and non-NCIS related older man fantasy, I would have to go with the other tall dark sexy guy besides Alex on TV right now and that would be Jim Cavielzel who also happens to be 41 too.

Just to chime here.... A bit "older guy" fantasy for me has to be George Clooney....IMHO Even though he is not on TV at this moment. He rocked it as Doug Ross on ER and now he is just an amazingly talented movie star/director...love him

A bit older guy for me is not much older. Alex.
But if I were to go for the non-NCIS, non-H50, older man deal: Adrian Paul.

Oh yes - I like Jim Calviezel and Chris ODonnel is fine. In my age range too. I admit to thinking Daniel Craig - who is just right age wise for me - is a really virile man. Of course - I do not tell the better half this stuff.

Alex is quite a bit older than me, but I'm with darksea- he's my number 1 go-to older guy. ;D
My others are definitely Michael Fassbender and Shemar Moore.

Don't know how telling this is but: I know that tonight in my area Hawaii Five-0 is being pre-empted by the local affiliate for some seasonal Christmas show. It will be on overnight so my DVR will pick it up.
Do pre-emptions by the local affiliate make a big difference to the network? Just guessing I'm probably in a medium size market. I wonder if a local pre-emption of H50 is foretelling to CBS of things to come?

Oh my, Jim Caviezel has gotten more attractive with age. I like him a lot, he's a good quality actor.

They do make a difference particularly if they are in large markets, they add in the numbers for the later broadcast but they will obviously be less. Pre-emption isn't all that different, though. They were doing it quite a bit last year on a national basis.
