WOW, soccer fans here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I root for Czech Republic because of my parents, and Germany because I just like the team since 8 years ago. I go against Italy to piss off my hubby and sons.
I love World Cup, Eurocup and the South American Cup, but I don't watch other soccer matches, when the teams are made up of whoever the team can afford to buy... I like the national teams that are actually made up of people from that country.
Great two days for me lately - the Czech win which had the fastest 2 goals in the history of the Euro, and today's German win. You sound like me. I don't care for club soccer but I love the international tournaments. I'm of mostly German descent, so I've supported them for some years now (plus I just like their side). They look pretty good, but I wish they were a little less sloppy with the ball and that somebody other than Mario Gomez would score some goals. On paper, they look good against Denmark on Sunday, but you never know. This Euro tournament has singlehandedly rescued my television summer, killing time until all the regular shows come back. I've just graduated and my job doesn't start until August, so I've had time to watch every match. And just when it ends, the Olympics will be on soon. Thank goodness! |

a pet peeve man city and chelsea. :mad: seriously wouldn't be doing what there doing now if they didn't have money injected into them for the last couple of years. so peeved that tevez got away with away with what he did this year and then be made a feckin hero. bah.
btw i'm a man united supporter have been so since i was 11.
i love our fans i really do, singing songs after the game, best fans in the world.

I agree no one seems to have really stood out yet. I am hoping that Spain will suddenly wake up .

I've heard that Germany are looking pretty good too but I've not seen them play yet this tournament.
With the Dutch gone, I reckon it's maybe Spain or Germany with Portugal as an outside bet....
But I could be totally wrong haha!!

I think you could be right, Germany look good and Portugal looked good in their last game , so I dont think you can go far wrong with one of those three.
