I love the Mitch Rapp books, I kind of found Vince Flynn books by accident , I picked one up for my other half in a book sale and he loved it and then I read it and then I had to buy all of the others. Ahh, the Mitch Rapp books, those are in my pile of reading material too. I have read several, but have a couple more to go. My biggest problem is that there are tons of books that I have stockpiled either in a physical copy or on my kindle that I want to read, I just don't seem to have the time to read them all. ;D I always like to build a picture of the characters in a book in my mind , so it plays out in my head like a film. Now I am re reading the Mitch Rapp ones I always think of AOL as Mitch Rapp and the lady who plays Hetty in NCIS LA as his boss. You are right Diana , there is never enough time to read all the books that you want to and as fast as you get through some others get published. My amazon list is getting very long

gbird....all my friends have read the trilogy....I could have borrowed the books from them but I wanted to be able to read it at my own pace and they were $30 for all 3 which is a great price.....
The writing style is one of the factors that threw me.....I seriously can't understand all the hype about it....and they want to make a movie starring Kristen Stewart(Twilight)to play Ana and honestly I just can't see her in that role....Too make into a successful movie they literally have to put in most of the sex scenes afterall that's what it's mostly about.....
I have a range of books that I have been reading....James Patterson all his books...including the Women's Murder Club series & the Alex Cross.... Linda Howard, Alex Barclay, Lee Child, Vince Flynn,David Baldacci those are just afew...also biographies..... . I was like you all my freinds had it but I wanted my own copy so that there was no pressure to pass it on to the next in line. I will finish it, I might take it on holiday. Sometimes I have to be in the right frame of mind to read a certain type of book (does that make sense). I love Lee Child , although I do have some reservations about the movie that they have made. Some one recommended Harlon Coben to me and now I have read all of those. I love it when you find a new author and then have a whole load of book to catch up on . gbird that's exactly me to a tea..I also visualise my characters too....I have to be in the right frame of mind otherwise regardless if it's a great book I won't read it..... When you discover a new author and you realise the books he/she have written are a series it gets hard to find all the books based on the one character & I like to read them in sequence...hope that made sense.....

My biggest problem is that there are tons of books that I have stockpiled either in a physical copy or on my kindle that I want to read, I just don't seem to have the time to read them all. ;D Sweetlikemeli - The meditation book that I am currently reading is call "Meditation for the Love of It: Enjoying Your Own Deepest Experience" by Sally Kempton. I have just started reading it but this is how Amazon descrips it: Drawing on her 40 years as a teacher and a fellow meditator, Sally teaches us how we can connect to our inner longings and creative "shakti" energy to allow the transformative gifts and blessings of meditation to unfold. With playfulness and devotion "two key attitudes in sustaining a daily practice" she shares indispensable guidance for this voyage of self-discovery, including: How to tune in to your own "meditation channel", a bandwidth of tranquility, energy, and joy; - Why you don't need a quiet mind to meditate; - How the force known as Kundalini can fuel your practice; - Connecting to your ever-present Inner Beloved to let go of conditioned ideas about yourself and make space for the True Self to come forth; - Ripening your practice beyond technique into the "sweet mysterious expanse of spontaneous meditation"; - More than 20 practices for bringing the peace and insight of meditation into your daily life. "Remember: what you seek in meditation is your own Beloved, your own inner intelligence, your own Awareness, and your own Truth," teaches Sally. Meditation for the Love of It points us back to our own intimate heart of hearts, our own deepest experience, and the bliss of existence itself. Once I get done with the meditation book I have some other books on various other aspects of eastern philosophies that I want to dig into including some works on and by the Dalai Lama. In addition I also plan on reading Albert Einstein's biography and some of his later philosophical writings (And, yes while he is most know for his scientific career, Einstein did indeed also write extensively about religion, politics and philosophy.) Di thank you for that the decription is exactly what I have been looking for sounds like a great book & something that I am going to look into getting..... I have read the book 'The Art of Happiness" by the Dalai Lama & Howard C. Cutler....fascinating book I enjoyed so much..... I was referred to another author by a friend Dr Wayne W.Dyer and I bought some of his books years ago The Power of Intention Inspiration Your Ultimate Calling The Invisible Force I found them a great help as I was going through a bad time in my life.... I also enjoyed The Breakthrough Experience by Dr John F. Demartini I couldn't put that one down..... Also Louise L. Hay her books You Can Heal Your Life & 20 Hay House Classics.... Don't know if anyone has read The Secret by Rhonda Byrne..
Some books do help but sometimes you are still looking for another.......
I have currently started reading the book The Real History Behind The Templars by Sharan Newman....
PS...sorry for the my rambling of books..Can you tell I love books.....

Mostly I read mysteries. I just finished a Jonathan Kellerman. I especially enjoy British medieval mysteries. And I've gotten into some really over-the-top, set aside reality thrillers by Jeremy Robinson, Matthew Reilly & James Rollins.

For those of you out there that like to read book series in order (like me), here is a website that is really good. It lists series by author and by character and it lists the series in order. It also gives any aliases and other series that were written by a particular author. It's mostly for mysteries, but it does list some other authors as well, such as Vince Flynn and Lee Chld. Here's the link if anyone is interested: www.stopyourekillingme.com/I hope the link works alright.

Thanks Booklover, that is really helpful especially with Vince Flynn as so many of his titles are similar and I like to try and read them in order.
