I was given two books by Dick Couch about Navy Seals for my birthday. I have only read a small bit of the first one but it is very interesting. I have to admit when I am reading it I have one rather special SuperSEAL pictured in my head .

I'm reading a book called Unbroken right now. It's about an Olympic runner in the air force during World War II. (true story) I was reading it right before and right after Episode 3.03 and guess what was going on in the book? Their plane had crashed in the ocean off the coast of Oahu and the Olympic runner, his best friend, and one other guy were stranded in a raft with sharks swimming around them. Gotta say, it was way more intense than the five-0 episode. The Olympic runner and his best friend ended up surviving for 47 days with no food and water before being captured by the Japanese. (the other guy died of starvation) It's an intense book.

HF2012, that sounds good. I just placed an online reserve for it from the library. Thanks!
Me, I just finished How Shakespeare Changed Everything by Stephen Marche. It's really cool - about some of the fundamental ways he affected the entire world, from how the world saw teenagers to racial prejudice, politics, and other stuff. You'd be surprised how it works, too. Fun book.

It talks about his track stuff and training for the Olympics. I didn't get into it until he moved to Hawaii for the air force.

I have been reading a series of books by Gina Robinson called Agent Ex. They are light romantic comedy spy novels about agents and how their ex wives or soon to be ex wives interrupt cases. There is action, adventure, romance and comedy all wrapped into one. Each book follows a specific agent during the case. The first one (The spy who left me) takes place in Hawaii. Its light fun reading.

I'm reading "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen. It's an excellent book, and was made into a fantastic movie (in theatres last year I think?) starring Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz.
