no new episode tonight because of the storm.  Peter Lenkov @plenkov #CBS #H50 - Halloween ep has been pushed a week. Tonight, those of u with power get to see Ed Asner sizzle in 302. Those without-God bless. |

I realize that this may sound insensitive, but that really sucks! We have to endure storms like this every June-October and nobody changes their programming but NY gets effected and the whole world suddenly scrambles to accomodate. Were was CBS on Friday when we were getting outages from the same storm? Hopefully Castle is a new episode. Very Very dissapointed in CBS right now.

Ircam,
My guess is that most CBS/ABC/NBC affiliates in the northeast will be pre-empting their regular prime time schedule in order to broadcast storm coverage for those people who do have power and since the storm potentially effects nearly 60 million people, maybe that's why the decision was made by the network. I don't really know anything...just a guess.

I don't really know anything...just a guess. I am sure that is why, but it aggravates me that the rest of the country has to wait. No network has ever done that when the Southern states get hit. And yes they usually effect millions too, but they are not Network offices. I am done with this topic because I am just too aggravated to think rationally. I hope all of you in the NE are safe. The decision to not air a new H50 ep tonight has nothing to do with PL. All Mon night CBS comedies will be repeats and at 10pm (EST) CBS is doing a special Hurricane Sandy report. My guess is that not even the comedy repeats will be shown by most northeast affiliates as local coverage of the storm will most likely be broadcast pretty much all evening.

Trust me, as someone in New England I'm disappointed that the show was moved as well. At least I would have been able to watch it at some point this week even if I lost power tonight. We're all bummed that we have to wait a week, too. It has less to do with the fans and more to do with the ratings.

Hmm, I wonder what this is now going to do to the H50 schedule as they were already scheduled to show new shows straight through Dec. 17 with no break for Thanksgiving due to the late start to the season and the preemption for the Presidential Debate, before they ever decided to push this week's episode back. Also, for anyone who isn't affected by the storm or is affect and is still on-line and wants to chat tonight , I wanted to let you know that I am going to try to pop into chat at least by 10pm, (I'm hoping 9:30pm, but I am making no guarantee's. ).  |
