Do we think this will boost the ratings for the current season? I surely hope so. But when I first saw the article I thought maybe this means this will be the last season of H5O that is why they are putting it in to syndication early. I hope that is not the case.

I hope this is good news. There is not too much good programming around. Need h50 to continue for our sakes and especially for Alex

I really hope this is good news as well. With TNT showing Hawaii on Thursday and the new season of Hawaii on Friday we could get some new fans.

I hope this ensure a long life for H50. After all, how many times can TNT run 3 seasons. Certainly would help lift my spirits. My TV doesn't know what it means to be turned on these days.

Some of the stories are the same as you'll find on FF but there are some writers who post only on AO3 and some of them are pretty good. Of course, there's also a lot of slash there ... some people like to write it just to show how much they know about male anatomy ... so if that's not your thing you really have to pick carefully. I don't mind it if there's a good story with it but if it's slash just to write slash I tend to avoid it.

I've tried looking for HF-0 stories at Live Journal, but their website is a hassle to sort through and I've never figured out how their whole tag system works. FF has a lot of slash, too. I won't read any of that and I wish they'd include slash in with their other filters. That would make it a lot easier, even if it did reduce the story options by nearly half.

The Official TNT Press Release and Dates.
Action-Packed Hit “Hawaii Five-0″ to Join TNT Lineup Thursday, Aug. 8
July 30, 2013 Kevin Little 11:12 am ET
TNT is hitting the beach this summer as the network adds the action-packed drama series Hawaii Five-0 to the primetime lineup. The People’s Choice Award-winning series, which stars Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park, is set to air on TNT Thursdays at 9 and 10 p.m. (ET/PT), beginning Aug. 8. A complete schedule of episodes running in August is included below.
Hawaii Five-0, which is preparing to launch its fourth season on CBS, comes to TNT from CBS Television Distribution. The series is a contemporary take on the classic show about an elite federalized task force whose mission is to wipe out crime that washes up on the Islands’ sun-drenched beaches.
At the center of Hawaii Five-0 is Detective Steve McGarrett (O’Loughlin), a decorated Naval officer-turned-cop who returns to Oahu to investigate his father’s murder. He then stays after Hawaii’s Governor (Jean Smart) persuades him to head up the new team with his rules, her backing, no red tape and blanket authority to hunt down the biggest “game” in town. Joining McGarrett is Detective Danny “Danno” Williams (Caan), a newly relocated ex-New Jersey cop. He’s a working man in paradise who prefers skyscrapers to the coastline but is committed to keeping the Islands safe for his 8-year-old daughter.
The Five-0 unit also includes Chin Ho Kelly (Kim), an ex-Honolulu Police Detective and former protégé of McGarrett’s father who was wrongly accused of corruption. Chin’s cousin Kono (Park) is a beautiful and fearless native, fresh out of the police academy and eager to establish herself among the department’s elite.
Hawaii Five-0 was named Favorite New Drama by fans voting on the 37th Annual People’s Choice Awards. The show’s other accolades include a Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe® nomination for Scott Caan, Emmy® nominations for stunt coordinator Jeff Cadiente and a BMI TV Music Award for Keith Power and Brian Tyler. The show is executive-produced by Peter Lenkov, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci for CBS Television Studios.

AO3 is the Archive Of Our Own websight. They do have a filter option but you still have to be careful because even when I use the filters to pull out the slash (i don't read slash either) I still get some slash stories in the mix. I've not had much luck with Live Journal either.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post a link so I'll just say it's archiveofourown dot org. It'll show you all the "fandoms" they have and if you scroll down to TV Shows and click on All TV Shows and then "H" you'll find twice as many H5-0 stories as on FF. The nice thing about AO3 is that you can click a link at the top of a multi-chapter story that shows all the chapters without having to click through them one at a time. You just scroll down through them. You can filter the results there as well. I agree with you about Live Journal. It's kinda difficult finding all the chapters of a story.

I find both Live Journal and fanfiction.net annoying. I've started going to Archive of Our Own for Star Trek fanfic--the selection is better. But you do still run into a lot of slash, so you have to work around it.

I've had good luck at FanFiction dot net, they have just changed their filters, so I can opt out of any stories with Bori-Lori in them :-)
I have learned to select only Complete stories thought, otherwise I'll be in the middle of too many incomplete/in-progress ones.
I did find the Ao3 site and will check through it. Maybe I'll even end up posting my stories there, too.

I know that syndication creates more income for the core 4 and the entire 5-0 crew but is it a sign that they may not be renewed for a 5th season? I am worried about that possibility.
