The episode had his funny moments for sure Joan was adorable and I loved uncle Steve, uncle Chin and uncle Danny especially the last one Danny is a great storyteller the moment he tells Joan a story in his office about "Handsome Prince, Hairy Ogre and the Black Stallion". I immediately knew who he meant in this story it was hilarious and cute at the same time
No surprise Catherine's now a 5-0. saw that coming from the end of season 3. Cath fight scene was awesome she only had one scratch which I can't say for the guy she fighting with. but her finding everything about Sato on her own without any help from Five-O c'mon. Cath is not Superwoman.
Who in the world will allow Mary to adopt a baby with her background it wouldn't happen in the real world. I love Joan she was adorable but I didn't saw the purpose of this SL in this episode.
Oh, and Fong is finally back…Steve welcomed him back!
Daryll Hannah was cast for a one min scene which could have been done by every other woman on the island.
Not a bad episode but not great either looking forward to next week
^ This is what I am thinking to to keep Scott for H5O Peter must allow Scott to do other projects during the season otherwise he will lose Scott for H5O what means the dead of the show same go's for Grace Park Peter have said she will be back soon but we haven't seen any pictures of her shooting any scene sofar. I get that they want to spend more time for family and other things but both signed a contract they have a obligation to the show and his fans IMO! I am happy we get more Chin this season and putting Cath on the team was the next step. I'll will give it a chance but I am not a fan of a love couple working on the same team but I shall see what happens.

I like having more Chin this season--but it comes at a cost. That Scott doesn't want to spend as much time filming in Hawaii is a joke. He knew what he was getting into when he signed on to the show. I get he is probably peeved that CBS wants Alex to shine and be the star on the show and Scott is being sidelined because of that. Sad-because it is the relationship between Alex and Scoot that made the show in the first place. They need to bring back Roberto Orci to shake things up and bring us back to the magic that was Season 1. I know he shows up for SOTB every September---but that is not enough.....

There's not much I can say that will add to what everyone else has said.
I did loved the scenes with the baby and the guys. Uncle Steve was soooo cute. But he (and we) didn't get any kind of straight answer from Mary about how she came to adopt Joan.
And the story Danny told Joan was so hilarious! I knew where he was going with the story as soon as he started it.
Nice to see Fong again.
As for the rest: Well, let's just say that I won't be watching it live anymore; I'm going to DVR it so I can fast forward through the scenes with Catherine. As others have said; the show can't compare with season 1 or even parts of season 2 (especiallY after SWMNBN left). I think that the show has now officially gone down the drain. How is Steve going to be able to separate Cath the girlfriend from Cath the co-worker. There was one scene when the bad guy (the one who gave the money to the undercover cop) said something to Steve like: "Your girlfriend sure looks hot in that short black dress" and Steve went ballastic on him. How is that going to work full time? I knew that Cath was going to join the team and when they showed that at the end, I didn't even finish watching it -- I just fast-forwarded through to the previews. How sad that such a great show has come down to this.

For me, what was so special about S1 was the *partnership* between Steve and Danny. Leaving aside the bromance, it was the way they had one another's backs that really made it for me. Now it's become an ensemble show, and much as I love Kono and Chin et al., it just doesn't have the same impact for me - it's lost what made it so 'special'. Azziria, if there was a 'like' button to push for your comment above, I would've pressed it many times! Well said and true! There the 'thumbs up' button right next to the 'quote' button.... is that a 'like' button?

but we haven't seen any pictures of her shooting any scene sofar. There were some BTS pics from an episode being shot in Vancouver, B.C.'s China Town. Apparently Grace Park didn't go to Hawaii, so the cast/crew came to her.

Well I think I am out numbered here. I love the idea of Cath joining the team. Cath really has been on the team right from season 1 helping the team solve the crime. I am looking forward to cath teaming up with Chin and Kono when she comes back. We will always have Steve and Danny as partners in the last 7 episodes they have been together a lot except in episode 5 and 8.
How can you all say you are not going to like it when the episodes have not been shown yet. You don't know what is going to happen.
Anyway it will be interesting to see how the ratings go from here whether the fans like it or not I am hoping they will.

Afterall, I watched the second season with you know who so I can certainly watch it this season and hope for more seasons.

I will say the same thing as CookieJar, because my feelings about the show are kind of all over the place right now. Blondie's observations are spot-on, and like MandyBlue, I also like the character of Catherine, although only as a recurring character. And like CookieJar, I will no doubt continue to watch the show and overlook it's flaws and just enjoy it was much as I can for whatever it is, for as long as it is.

I enjoyed that episode, really liked those scenes with the baby. I wasn't surprised that Cath is now the part of Five-0 but I think I like that idea, don't know why people don't like her... Still can't believe that they actually gave a baby to Mary, when she obviously needs a mom herself but I think we'll see how she is doing later ;-)

What I do not like is that Cath is no longer her own person. She is not in the Navy anymore, she does not have her own job,and she lives with Steve not on her own. It is the writers I am not happy with. I will still watch the show but wish they had taken Cath in a different direction.

Still can't believe that they actually gave a baby to Mary, when she obviously needs a mom herself but I think we'll see how she is doing later ;-) I've always liked Cath. I just think that adding her to 5-0 is a bad idea. The idea of Steve and Cath working together, regardless of who is paired up, is something that goes against law enforcement logic. I really liked her when she was in the Navy and interacting with 5-0 on that level. I would have loved to see them do something like a liaison with 5-0 so it didn't seem that she had to covertly assist them because she might get in trouble. As for continuing to watch, absolutely. I'm not giving up on it just because I think they've made some poor choices in storyline. And I'm willing to admit that I hope I'm wrong in thinking that Cath being a member of 5-0 is one of those poor choices. For all we know, Cath will work with Chin until Kono gets back (and then we'll see) and Steve won't think he has to protect his girlfriend so she won't get hurt. After all, he let her go after the information about Sato alone ... maybe they'll surprise me. I'm actually hoping they will.

Yeah, I agree with you Cath it's not really herself but I still have hope that's going to change, from the other side I don't miss Kono, so for a moment it can be good that Cath is a part of Five-0 but that doesn't mean I completely agree that she is going to be a good addition to the team, I just hope she is going to be good enough so Steve not going to be worrying too much.

Not sure what that's all about, but I don't like that part of it at all.
