Couple of really good, couple of really bad. On the whole, a good episode for me. I realize Grover doesn't like 5-0, but threatening a cop that he may not have the backup he needs when he needs it sounds like grounds for firing him to me. I liked him before, but that just threw me totally off him. The whole idea of Mary-Anne being able to adopt a baby is so horrible, it almost killed any funny scenes that come with it. Luckily the baby is cute enough and the guys are so good, that with Mary-Anne out of the way, it worked. BUT - seeing Joan chewing on the money while Danno held her.... that's just not funny. Having her play with a gun or grenade might have made me laugh, but even letting her get a hold of grimy, drity money.... ugh. Letting her crawl on the smart table, on the other hand, made me laugh. Ditto Uncle Steve and his baby noises, and wanting to take her out on a take-out with him. Likewise, Danno's story about the dopey ogre with control issues and his partner, the incredibly handsome prince with the stallion, was adorable. FONG!!! Don't know why, Fong is another character that just makes me happy. I was really hoping the shoot-out would turn out to be a job for SuperSEAL. We got some badass Steve before, so I was really hoping. But no, just more SWAT Grover so that we don't forget he's a RECURRING CHARACTER. He was funny in his first apperance, now I don't like him. So he doesn't need to "recur" any more. Daryl Hannah flirting with Danno was great. Wouldn't the sight of a full SWAT contingency at the zoo scare off any bad guy? Should't they have met somewhere else? Bad guy could have easily shown up early. It was kind of obvious the girl was passing on the intel. And there was no way the hoodie person was anything but a girl. Still, having her seem so sympathetic was a good try. And with that final scene, the fandom explodes. Did we learn nothing from S2? The core four is sacred, you just don't make someone part of the core four.

Plenkov has been determined to add a 5th member since season 1--with Jenna Kaye. Then there was the mess that was season 2 with SWSNBN. I liked having Cath in the Navy and being away a lot. But-are we sure Grace Park is coming back??? Maybe she will become a recurring character. We may have a new core 4. Just my humble opinion.

The ending was predicatible I clearly gave them more credit than they deserved. I really didn't think it was predictable. I really thought they'd have more sense than to make Steve's girlfriend a member of 5-0. How can they possibly have her join 5-0 on a raid along with SWAT without him wanting to protect her? I certainly hope the Governor has something to say about it, knocks him upside the head and vetoes it.

What a good episode so funny with the baby. Love cath being bad ass and I love the idea of her joining the team she fits in just right. I can not wait for Kono to come back and team up with cath those girls will be great together. Danny telling the baby that story was so funny and the baby was listening to him as well.
Also I think Cath is only going to be on the team Temparay until Kono get back.

I called the whole Cath-joining-5-0 thing back at the end if S3 - remember that final scene on the dockside after they said goodbye to Kono and Doris? That was the new Core 4, a definite foreshadowing right there. I don't have a huge problem with Cath becoming the 5th member, but I do have a problem with her boyfriend being her boss - so unprofessional. And I don't want to see Steve losing his edge because he's getting all soppy over Cath being in danger during a 5-0 case

I knew for long time that Cath would be part of Five-0. Even my mom an offline fan wasn't surprised. I liked Cath better when she was recurring.

i don't dislike Catherine, but her character is so one dimensional. The core 4 was brilliant. I guess the writers ran out of ideas and need to compensate with distractions.
At the final interrogation, I thought for a moment that the writers had a wrinkle to the predictable outcome, no such luck.

Couldn't understand why Steve gave Cath the badge at the beginning . Did he think that was going to stop the bad guy from running or hurting her? Didn't make sense to me but that was the foreshadowing of what was to come. I have always been a Cath/Steve fan and like them as a couple not coworkers. Liked it when she was in the Navy. Liked it when she had her own life, lived in her own home, had her own career. PL always wanted a fifth team member and he made it happen. At least I like her compared to you know who. I guess it is what it is whether I like it or not. I don't feel this is pushing out Grace Parks. I think she wants less screen time. I also feel this is the beginning of the end for hawaii five-o. On another topic I liked all the baby scenes even though I can't imagine any adoption agency would give Mary a baby. Does she even have a job? Uncle Steve, Uncle Danny, and Uncle Chin were all so sweet. Loved the story Danny told Joan- now that was good writing. Grover is going to be a problem. Didn't like him going behind Steve's back and talking to Chin. Looking forward to more Steve/Grover scenes. Overall I enjoyed the episode even though I didn't like certain parts.
