I am sure other people here have cats and I wanted to see if any of you are experiencing what I call Cat Christmas Madness. I have 3 all over 10 years old , who spend most of their days sleeping only waking up for meal times and sometimes I actually have to prod them to make sure they are still with us. That is until I put the tree up and they all go completely mad. One of them spends most of his time looking at his face in the tree decorations and the other two like to see how close they can get to the tree (whilst speeding around the room) without knocking it over. It seems to go on all night, when we go to bed we hear the muffled sounds of them charging around. Bless them.

You are very welcome Sweetlikemeli, it appealed to me because a lot of my family dont like traditional christmas cake. If you want the whole receipe just let me know.[/quote gbird I would love the recipe since I am allergic to raisins, sultanas & currants I wondered what I couls substitute and twassbrake recommended cranberries or cherries but I read your comment that you used other ingredients......so when you have a chance I would love it....

Not sure if this is the right place, but does anybody have a recipe for pumpkin pie?. I fancy doing one for Christmas Day along with my Christmas Pudding.

I have one gbird that my mother started using before I was born -- it's the only one that I like; I guess it's because I'm so used to it. I'll PM it to you tomorrow if you like once I find it again. I put it away for safe keeping.

How long does everybody get off for Christmas? Our company closes over Christmas so we are off from the 22nd December until the 3rd January. This is the first company that I have worked for that does this I have always had to work in between Christmas and New Year before.

I get Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day as Holidays and if they fall on the weekend like this year then I get the Friday before and the Monday after. Of course, I always save vacations day to use around the holidays so I will be off from Dec 20th thru Jan 3rd. Plus, on Jan 1st I will get a 5th week of vacation since 2012 will be my 15th year with my company.

Just wondering what you all can picture the Fab4 doing for Christmas. Since CBS/Lenkov likes to leave us to image things, then lets do just that. What can you imagine them done?
Steve --- putting a tiny table-top size tree out in the garage. It would have to come pre-lit and won't have any ornaments, but will provide a nice touch to the garage where he will be working on the Marquis.
Danny --- Still trying to find a new stealth Santa suit because the one Kamekona got him last year still has staples holding most of it together. Ouch.
Chin Ho --- making Malia happy by climbing a ladder to put lights on the house, which he's never had to do before now, and to be honest, he rather not be doing now. But anything for his new bride.
Kono --- she would be in charge of planning the Five-0 Christmas Party, baking cookies, and trying to convince the guys to show up for the gift exchange they reluctantly drew names for last week.
Max (can't forget him) --- I can picture him glued to his laptop, trying to secure the winning bid for some Star Trek figure he's been wanting for years. A Christmas present for himself.
What are your ideas for the team?
