This international/universal element of social media, therefore this board, just fascinates me every day. Don't ask me why you - nycgal - being in Manhattan excites me any more than sunnyirish being in Ireland or twassbrake in Germany or sweetlikemeli being in Australia, but...golly, Manhattan! Gee whiz. It's not like we're all in the same place around a table - you're there, and she's there, and she's there... And your weather is this, and hers is that, and hers is that. I bet darksea doesn't live in a place that looks like NYC. And who is it that lives on a ranch in Montana? How cool.

Snow in Brooklyn before Halloween is pretty amazing. But tomorrow it's going to be as if it never happened.

I just got snow yesterday. I was up in PA for a party, and they got way more then where I live. It was only about 30 minutes away from my house, but I was sitting there during the party, and for a second I thought it was Christmas! It looked & felt like December. To get snow where I am, in October....really rare. That's probably the first time I've ever seen it.

We were up in MA for Family Weekend at our son's college - we had about 8 inches up there, 4 here when we finally got home today. The amazing thing was seeing the trees, still in full fall foliage, with snow on them and bent... some had broken and the branches blocked lanes. Took an extra hour to get home. And, when I got home, my neighbor's tree had snapped and the large branch is now sitting in our yard and has broken our fence. Better the fence than my roof though.

yesterday was a combination of this and fog, can't find the smiley for that. was driving back from my friends house. scariest 20 minutes of my life, no lights, water to my left and no safety wall. and today, it's windy with more rain.

sunnyirish08 - you poor things, hope it stops soon. I expect it will cross the sea and hit us soon.

A storm? Ouch! Keep it, I don't want it. We are currently experiencing a very warm November. It's just about sunny 13-15 °Celsius here in Germany over the day and it's awesome. It's downright warming up my old bones (We are just talking about the day, nights it's freezing cold). Should stay the whole week plus the weekend that way. So, you better keep your shitty weather ..... No offense! But take care!

Because I have to rub it in. It is 75 degrees, sunshine (not a single cloud in the sky) and breezy. This is what makes up for the Tropical storms in the summer. :-). Besides it was raining the entire month of October.

Well, it's 78 degrees where I am. That's the good. The bad: We're under a red flag warning (high fire danger) due to strong winds. I hate this time of year -- it's Santa Ana Wind season so we get lots of of these strong winds. I had to evacuate for a week in 2007 due to fire storms, so I'm always nervous with the winds start to blow.
