Never have been good at sports, but I like to watch them. Sports are on our TV everyday.
I love baseball (the Padres stank this year) and horse racing. I can watch football (the Chargers don't merit mentioning), golf, and bull riding. Always watch the Olympics when they are on.

I love watching the Olympics pretty much any event....I watch the tennis mainly the Australian, Wimbledon, French & US open... I grew up in a family where my dad & brother were and still are HUGE soccer fanatics...My brother used to play when he was younger so always went to the matches....So I watch all the World Cup, Euro Cup games...... I enjoy Aussie Rules football...... Also when we have the Commonwealth Games I enjoy the swimming events & gymnastics.... I used to play tennis and volleyball in my younger days (mainly in my high school days)...Now I just go to the gym 4/5 times a week every morning at 6am ....My workout doesn't finish there I also babysit my 3yr old nephew 3 times a week so I get extra workouts chasing him around and taking him for walks well I walk he is in his stroller... ..

Hit an old lady in the head at miniature golf. At miniature golf? This sounds like a story worth hearing.... I like cricket, even though most people think it's incredibly dull. I grew up with it on TV all summer while we wandered in and out of the house, and I like that you don't have to be glued to it for fear of missing something. I also like that we're actually better at it than Australia at the moment, which is quite unusual. And tennis, although right now that's got a lot to do with Roger Federer, who is just wonderful in every way. Each time there's a Tiger Woods-style sporting scandal, I think to myself that as long as Federer doesn't turn out to have feet of clay, I won't lose all faith in the notion that it's possible to be rich, talented and a decent human being (so, no pressure, Rog). I get subjected to football ( the soccer kind) and rugby as my husband is South African and sports-mad, which seems to be some kind of legal requirement for them. I don't mind football, but I can't get to grips with rugby. I think it's one of those games that you have to play to really understand. No matter how much I watch it, I still have not the faintest clue what's going on.

This is a great thread!!
As far as playing sports, I LOVE to play Volleyball (I prefer Beach, but considering I live in yucky New York, I play Indoor, but on vacations, I play for hours and hours. I also love to run....
For watching, I also am a diehard Olympic fan. I prefer the summer olympics, but I watch both whenever it is an olympic year. In the winter olympics, I like to watch the staking, luge, and the snowboarding, and others that are currently escaping my mind. For the summer, I of course, watch every beach volleyball match, the indoor volleyball, swimming, track, diving, gymnastics, pretty much anything. Like I said, I love the Olympics. .....Go Misty May and Kerri Walsh!!

If you enjoy it, you should try to play more often, just for fun.... My family had a party over the summer (sort of like a mini family reunion) And I played volleyball (in the grass, but 2 vs. 2) for literally 5 hours, in the pouring rain. It was so much fun. Whenever I go to FL I play in the sand forever. I just love it!!

Because I don't have the guts to just go to the beach and join some random people.

Favourite sports for me are Football (soccer), my team is Everton based in Liverpool which is where I live. They're not doing great this season. If you've heard of Landon Donovan (plays for Galaxy MLS). He may be back on loan with us in January.
Also love F1 racing, athletics, tennis, swimming.
Taking part - I swim a lot and run a lot. (Training to do the london marathon next April but injured at the moment so bored and fed up).
I envy those of you who do horseback riding. Would love to do that. Have you found it hard southpaw to get back into it?

Favorite sports to watch on tv are figure skating, gymnastics and racing (cars ... yes, I think of the drivers as athletes so it's a sport).
I used to play softball, volleyball and racquetball 'til a motorcycle accident made that impossible. Still like watching them but it has to be live rather than on tv.
And after my playing days were over, I coached 5-7 year old t-ball players. What an amazing experience! I think my favorite facial expression during t-ball season is the one on a kid's face that says "I DID IT!" Have to say I enjoyed coaching the kids far more than coaching adult softball.

Rode horses myself for 20+ years. Taking a break now, too expensive. Love golf and road racing. Husband and I race an 89 Camaro at Mosport's road course. (Horsepower instead of horse power. Unfortunately both expensive..) Love watching ALMS.

Baseball, American football and hockey. Love them all pretty equally, though baseball probably is tops if I had to pick. I'll watch basketball, but usually only college.
